The Providence Tourism Council and InDowncity are thrilled to present the PVD Downcity Holiday Market at Grant’s Block Park, at the corner of Union and Westminster streets in downtown Providence. 


From Thursday, December 4 to Sunday, December 7, Grant's Block will transform into an enchanting outdoor marketplace for visitors and residents alike to meet, shop, drink, eat, and support local businesses this season.

ABOUT US

The Providence Tourism Council strives to increase the economic impact of tourism, commerce and engagement of visitors through the development of events, programs and tourism within the City of Providence. 

The PTC is part of the Convention Authority of the City of Providence and established by state statute. Since its creation in 1984, the PTC has provided public relations, marketing and financial support to organizations who have demonstrated the ability to draw visitors to the city, have an economic impact, benefit for Providence residents, and generate awareness and marketing exposure for the city. 

Through our collaborative efforts, we have helped put the Creative Capital of Providence on the map as one of America’s Favorite Cities. We have supported the development of tourism initiatives, allowing our city to grow and thrive while establishing Providence as one of the country’s most renowned arts, cultural and culinary hubs.

All aboard! Experience the best of the PVD Holiday Festival on Saturday, December 6 with the Free Holiday Trolley running from 11:30 AM to 6 PM. A friendly trolley ambassador from @pvdtourco will be on board to help guide your ride. ? The trolley links Federal Hill, Biltmore and Burnside Park, and City Hall with convenient stops including DePasquale Square, The Graduate Hotel, and at either end of PVD Downcity Holiday Market at Westminster St. Ride over to the City’s signature City Hall Tree Lighting (@providenceact) kicking off at 4 pm with an evening of performances, art activations and a special arrival from Santa before the big countdown. Along the route, enjoy Christmas on the Hill (@federalhillri) on Atwells Ave, Pneufest by @pneuhaus at Burnside Park with large-scale soft sculptures and music, and the PVD Downcity Holiday Market at Grant’s Block showcasing local artists and makers hosted by @providencetourism in collab with @indowncitypvd.
