Summer Pops in the Park - Don't Touch That Dial: TV Classics
Wed Aug 6th 7:30 pm
Temple to Music, Roger Williams Park, Providence, RI 02910, USA
The Rhode Island Philharmonic brings TV classics to the Park. The Rhode Island Foundation is a presenting sponsor of this free community event with support from the Providence Department of Art, Culture and Tourism, the Roger Williams Park Conservancy, the Providence Tourism Council and the Providence Parks Department.
This year’s concert features a binge-worthy program of TV’s greatest theme songs. Concertgoers will recognize themes from shows like "The Simpsons," "Dallas," "Star Trek," and more, along with music from game shows and sports. The evening will end with our traditional performance of Tchaikovsky’s thrilling 1812 Overture.
Grab your spot, sit back, and let the music take you on a nostalgic ride through TV’s most iconic moments! Conducted by audience favorite Troy Quinn, the 69-piece orchestra will play two 40-minute sets. In addition to the concert, food trucks will be onsite at the Temple to Music serving local, regional and global cuisine.
Concert takes place at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park. Rain Date is August 7, 7:30pm.
**This concert is FREE and open to the public, no tickets required!**
